AIF Announces Disciplinary Actions Following March 20 Incident

The American Indoor Football (AIF) has completed its review of the events that occurred during the March 20, 2026 game between the Cedar Rapids organization and the Wyoming Cavalry.

As part of this process, the league conducted a comprehensive evaluation that included the review of multiple video angles and footage, as well as discussions with arena personnel, team officials, on-field officials, and internal league leadership. Based on these findings, the AIF has issued the following disciplinary actions:

o One (1) player has been suspended for one (1) game

Wyoming Cavalry Organization

These disciplinary measures are consistent with the AIF Operations Manual and reflect the league’s commitment to maintaining a safe, professional, and respectful environment for players, coaches, officials, and fans.

AIF Commissioner Terrence Foster addressed the league’s position on conduct standards:

“The American Indoor Football league has a clear standard when it comes to professionalism, accountability, and respect for the game. What occurred on March 20 fell short of that standard, and it is our responsibility to respond accordingly.”

“Our expectation is that every coach, player, and organization represents the league with integrity at all times. When those expectations are not met, disciplinary action is necessary to protect the league, its players, and its fans.”

All penalties listed above are subject to the league’s formal appeals process, and any appeals must be filed in accordance with league policy.

The AIF emphasizes that the conduct displayed during this game does not reflect the standards of professionalism and sportsmanship expected across the league. The league will continue to enforce its rules strictly to ensure the integrity of the game moving forward.

Further updates will be provided if necessary.
